| | Before you choose an installation type, remember that if you would
like to try out Red Hat Linux without repartitioning your existing system, and
your system as a FAT (DOS/Windows) partition with sufficient free
space, you can perform a partitionless installation. This method is
perfect for people who are new to Linux, and who would like to try
Red Hat Linux with a minimum of disruption to their computer. To learn more
about this method, refer to Appendix B.

Choose whether you would like to perform a full installation or an
upgrade (see Figure 4-4).
Red Hat Linux allows you to choose the installation type that best fits your
needs. Your options are Workstation,
Server, Laptop,
Custom, or Upgrade.
To perform an upgrade, please refer to Appendix A.
